We are incredibly proud to share that our co-founder Laurie Lancee won 2nd place at the EIT Changemaker Award 2025 in Budapest.
The Changemaker Award recognizes individuals who are driving meaningful, systemic change across Europe. For Laurie, this recognition reflects years of dedication to a clear mission: closing the funding and wealth gaps by activating more diverse investors and supporting diverse founders.
Turning recognition into action
In true AtVenture spirit, Laurie has decided to invest the full €30,000 prize directly into early-stage startups. Capital, after all, creates the most impact when it is put to work where it can unlock growth, opportunity and long-term change.
A powerful European community
The award ceremony brought together an inspiring group of finalists and changemakers from across Europe. Beyond the recognition itself, what stood out was the shared energy, ambition and sense of community among people who are all working, in different ways, to build a more inclusive and innovative future.
We would like to extend a special thank you to:
• EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology
• EIT Food for the nomination
• Maria Vlachou, Sylvia Jahn and Ciro M. for their ongoing support
• And all finalists and supporters who made this week in Budapest unforgettable
Closing the gaps, together
This milestone is not just a personal achievement for Laurie. It reinforces what AtVenture stands for: turning insight into action, and intent into capital. We are excited for what comes next and grateful to be part of a growing European community that is committed to closing the gaps and opening doors.
